MetalRates24 brings comparable spot prices for gold, silver, platinum and palladium together with practical unit conversions, international currencies and six months of historical information. The purpose is to make global metal markets easier to read without reducing them to an isolated number: every value is presented with its date, unit, currency and source so comparisons remain clear and consistent.
Main prices begin with international references expressed in US dollars per troy ounce. From that basis, the system calculates gram, troy-ounce and kilogram equivalents, applies the selected purity percentage and converts the result into the chosen currency. Public pages read locally stored records, so opening a page does not generate a fresh request to the data provider.
Gold and silver are the most frequently followed references, while platinum and palladium extend the comparison to other important precious metals. Every series is processed through the same structure, making their differences easier to observe without mixing units or calculation rules. Market cards display the latest available value and its change from the preceding stored observation. Dedicated historical charts provide 30-day, 90-day and six-month views for a broader reading of each market.
A daily change states how far the reference moved from the immediately preceding stored value. It does not predict the next movement or establish a trend by itself. A more useful reading considers the stored range, compares several dates and keeps the display currency consistent. When a currency other than the US dollar is selected, the resulting value can be affected by both the underlying metal movement and the exchange rate used for the conversion.
The troy ounce commonly used to quote precious metals equals approximately 31.1034768 grams and should not be confused with a conventional ounce. The converter preserves that relationship internally and also supports kilograms. Purity changes the theoretical metal content, so a result based on 99.9% fineness is slightly below the pure-metal reference. These equivalents are informational and do not include manufacturing, taxes, dealer margins, transport, insurance or other terms associated with a particular commercial transaction.
The gold, silver, platinum and palladium history pages contain daily records expressed in USD per troy ounce. Each series retains only observations supplied by the source and expands through scheduled synchronization. Country pages combine the metal reference with the relevant currency and explain whether historical foreign-exchange coverage is available or the latest available rate is used. MetalRates24 states these rules clearly so calculated references are not presented as source observations that were never published.
Before using the data
MetalRates24 displays spot reference prices for gold, silver, platinum and palladium. Main values are expressed in US dollars per troy ounce and can be converted to other currencies and units with the tools available on the site.
The system combines the international metal price with the selected currency equivalence. It then applies the relevant conversion to grams, troy ounces or kilograms and, when applicable, the purity percentage selected by the user.
Data is synchronized on a scheduled basis and each section identifies the latest available date. Pages use locally stored records, so a displayed value retains its date and can remain available while the source is being updated.
The troy ounce is the international unit commonly used to quote precious metals and equals approximately 31.1034768 grams. The converter preserves this relationship internally so results remain consistent across units.
Purity represents the actual proportion of fine metal contained in an item. A result calculated with purity below 100% decreases proportionally compared with the theoretical value of the same weight in pure metal.
Not necessarily. MetalRates24 provides informational spot-market references. A commercial transaction may include premiums, margins, taxes, fabrication, transport, insurance and other conditions that are not part of the displayed calculation.
